from the description, i hadn’t expected this book to be quite as economics-heavy as it was. not bad, just different from what I expected lol (it was also nice to get a full explainer of the great recession in 2008, given that i was a toddler in 2008).
the pop culture pieces of this were absolutely my favorite, i thought they were really well explained. i was born in the mid 2000s, so i know that era feels recent for many people but not for me. so it was cool to see a book about the trends, events, and what happened in the Y2K era.
