A little slow and not super easy to read, but this does give young readers the perspective of the difficulties of war and the “sides”. Both British and rebels are pretty terrible in this telling, and we follow the protagonist’s struggle in what to believe and the difficulties of choosing when you are spitting yourself at risk either way. There is definitely no easy answer here as to which side was the “right” one!
