The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey
5.0

First, lets start with the fact that I have been dying for this book since the second I finished [b:The 5th Wave|16101128|The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1)|Rick Yancey|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1359853842s/16101128.jpg|19187812] (May of this year, wasn't even that long of a wait, all things considered).
What I have to say about the characters:
Evan sort of annoys me, great character though. With the recent doscovery of him
SpoilerNOT BEIGN A FUCKING ALIEN (brilliant though, so brilliant OMG)
we'll have one seriously interesting thing to pick up in the third book. But his self-destructive shit is getting to me.

I really like Cassie, she's a great character, true, resilient, brave and then scared, and all the the things that come between. I'm seriously bummed that she didn't have more screen time. I wanted more development in her part, some breakthrough. But I guess that getting
Spoiler Evan back, not only once, BUT TWICE
was effing great. Also, I think my favorite scene in this book was when
Spoiler Ben kissed her and said the biggest mistake of the Others was letting her live, that was beautiful
. Yes, she does have flaws, her slut shamming and sort of Mary Sue persona can get annoying here and there.

Sorry Yancey, but I just don't like Ringer, like, okay, great character too and everything, you gave her a nice back story, BUT DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS BOOK PRETTY MUCH COMPLETELY ABOUT HER???? NO YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT.

Forget about me talking about the characters one by one.

Pacing was a little slower, we had those Grace scenes, a little Poundcake back story too, that was nice to know. I wish we had more on Teacup.

Overall great book, did not disappoint. The ending was a little heartbreaking so
Spoiler Yancey, you gave me Razor just to break my heart?? Poor Ringer, I don't like her alright, but that don't mean I want to see how she'll be grieving by book three
. I WANT THE THIRD BOOK RIGHT NOW.

Also, thanks for the birthday present Mr. Yancey (it came out on my birthday), please don't you dare take anything more than a year to release the next one (Hey, I'm being generous here).
