Seldom have I been so disappointed in a book. I was really looking forward to this read: a rivalry to romance, a war amongst gods, magical typewriters... It sounded right up my ally! Unfortunately, I have to report this as a rather surfacelevel romantasy.
The main couple is cute, but in my view, their character quirks and the circumstances of their life feel forced. Maybe this is just me being bitter but reading this felt like chewing on the pulp of pages: it was dry and bland. There's no bigger crime in telling a story than being a bore.
So yeah, lots of wasted potential, wasn't for me.
