I don’t think anything will ever compare to ‘The Notebook’ for me, but considering how much praise this got for being just as good if not better I was definitely let down. However, it’s been awhile since I’ve read a Nicholas Sparks book so this was a nice reminder of how cinematic his writing is. I definitely want to watch the movie because I feel like they added a bit more to Dawson and Amanda’s young love story (at least from what I can tell from the production photos included in the copy I have).
