This author is spectacularily good at ripping hearts out. Similar to Tamora Pierce novels in the way that the strong female character takes on the world and sacrifices everything, but x100 emotion. I got so involved in this book that my heart hurt at the end of it and I needed a drink and some quiet time. Really looking forward to book 3, but I'm not sure I can handle it.
