I won a copy of Hidden from a Goodreads giveaway, thanks Goodreads! Honestly, this book was kind of hard to rate, there were things that I liked, but also a pretty big thing that I really didn't enjoy.

I guess I will start with the positives. I truly enjoyed the whole plot, it was interesting and knowing that this is only the first book in a series, I think it was setting the foundations for what will hopefully be, a pretty incredible world. The ending was especially well done, and ultimately made me decide that I would probably continue with this series.

Unfortunately the thing I disliked about this book was kind of an important part....the characters. Not really that I disliked them, some of them just seemed very flat to me. Like they weren't fully developed.They have all their basic features, but nothing really distinguishable or unique (personality wise). I had a hard time caring what the hell happened with Ebony because I had nothing invested in her, she was so one dimensional. Truthfully, I felt like a lot of the characters were that way. Jordan was the only one that I can really say stood out.

I think I would be interested in seeing where the story goes from here, I just hope in the next book the characters are little better developed.
