Going into this book, I was aware somewhat of the plot because of seeing previews for the movie. (I have not seen the movie as of yet.) I have to admit to wanting to see a different outcome in the end, regardless of knowing what the premise of the story was. That is the only reason for my 4 instead of 5 star review. I wanted more...I wanted miracles. I realize this isn't fair, but it is what it is.

The writing itself, like everything I've read from this author, is wonderful. She really captures the attitudes and worries of teenagers. I also really loved the idea of wanting to make yourself a better person and putting other people ahead of yourself.

I think the fact that Sam's focus changes from herself to saving someone else, shows how much someone can change. I like that in the end, she redeemed herself in so many ways.

I am looking forward to watching the movie, and I hope it's as great as the book was.
