This is one of those books that leaves you staring at the wall, needing time to process everything you've just read. It's a bit of a slow burner, but when the action kicks in during the last few chapters, you simply can't put it down. The exploration of faith and religion was particularly intriguing. I liked the pacing of the story, with its flashbacks and time jumps. The ending broke my heart—I'm truly sorry he practicaly lost his family and everybody he loved. While it's not my favorite work by King, and I wouldn't consider rereading it, it certainly gave me a lot to think about.
