i don’t know how to rate this when i feel so torn apart by it. the book was so beautiful but so so painful. and i cried basically the whole way through because ouch ouch ouch. it was my experience growing up in a christian environment (even though i’m an atheist) and having my queer identity ridiculed and laughed at. i think i’m too emotional and too hurt by this book to give it a fair rating <3 it sort of made me feel ashamed for being queer for a part of the book which was not fun. (that wasn’t the books fault, i just feel too much empathy <33) bleh, good but books that make me sad are :( people with religious trauma rise up ✌️
Graphic: Homophobia, Religious bigotry, Lesbophobia, Outing
Moderate: Hate crime, Sexual content
Minor: Eating disorder
