bandherbooks 's review for:

In It to Win It by Sharon C. Cooper

I'm not going to rate IN IT TO WIN IT because if I wasn't reviewing for LJ I would have DNFed.

Reader's Advisory review to come in Library Journal; thank you to the publisher for the advance copy.

SPOILERY content notes
Spoiler the "I don't have the mom gene" and "I don't think I ever want to be a mom" plot switching to surprise baby was not my favorite, especially in 2022. Also a lot of label name dropping of fashion, crummy rich parents upset their daughter chose to work with troubled youth and run a non-profit instead of trying to make it as a fashion designer, a hero parenting his two teen (14yo) siblings since his parents were dead, plus the billionaire is making us do silly tasks to win the right to buy his building for our personal projects, and a lot of physical humor.
