Half Black Soul
by H.D. Gordon
Hold onto your seat, because this book picks up right where the first left off and it starts at a running pace. Alexa has left her sister, Nelly, and both face new terrors apart both internal and external.
I know a lot of reviewers said the first book was a copy of the Vampire Academy, and while I agree there are similarities, I never saw it as a copy, and after reading the second book, they become even more distinct. If you are a Dan of Richelle Mead's series, I still would recommend it to you.
The plot really develops in intrigue in this book. The time span of if may not be very long, but so much happens. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but Kayden? If you liked him before, get ready to love him in this book. His character as well as a few other secondary characters are given some more insight to, as well as a couple introductions to new characters.
Overall, the action, romance, and plot were great once again, and I can't wait to pick up the third book.
I received a free ebook copy for an honest review.
