this was super fun and cute and k really enjoyed it!
let’s throw some confetti! the first graphic novel that i actually really enjoyed!
as far as i can tell the biggest different to what else i tried and enjoyed here and missed kn the others i tried are:
- it’s a love story for the season of fall and in some extent Halloween but mostly just the season of fall and what it brings and i enjoyed that a lot.
- the art was perfect for the story -really showing the colors and beauty of fall and what it had to offer
-the story itself was super simple but enough and well done. but there was no need for actual introductions or explanations because it just made sense as it was!
- as mentioned already the art was working for me. it was expressive without going over board but it was cute and fun but actual well drawn and colored people.
i loved that this was kept simple but wasn’t boring, that it found this middle ground between telling a nice story but knowing when it was done and ending the book at that point. no drawing it out or trying to make it into more than it could and should be.
i absolutely loved that this was so utterly relaxed, inclusive and loving towards all things -sexuality, body types, personalities and characteristics.
it felt real and realistic and i honestly just enjoyed it.
honestly the only thing i had a little trouble with that the faces of the characters to me didn’t look 18-19 but at least like they were in their mid 20s.
doesn’t mean that that’s an old age or o would have minded that age group for the characters at all, i actually think that would have worked at least as well as the chooses age group but i guess than it wouldn’t be YA.
or maybe it’s completely normal that characters are just said to be an age and the readers just go along with that?
no clue and honestly who cares??
if you want a fun cute and fast read, you love Autumn/Fall season and just want to read others love and enjoy it as it fullest too?
highly recommend this!
