House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
2.0

I picked this book up, concerned that it would be gimicky, and I was right. 400 pages in and I quit. There's a kernel of a good story here. Someone suggested I turn to the last page to see how it wnds but lol it's not that kind of book. There's no way to keep up with the bit of story I care about without being bogged down in everything I don't. Kudos to the people who were emotionally gripped. Wish I had been, but though the mystery of the house was mildly intriguing, I just didn't feel anything more than that.
