i liked how open and honest Kaling is about her shyness and social anxiety-relatable to me as i too have trouble just knowing i have to talk to a person in some way at all- and how it can be a bit difficult to find friends and people to be around while at the same time knowing that there needs to be space and the acceptance that  more often than not you won’t want to go out and do something if staying home alone is the option. being an introverted shy person with anxiety is never easy to combine with actual friendships.

so that was all great and well done.

what i disliked was how Kaling talked about especially other women.
how she talked about them seeming to be in competition with each other about everything not wanting to share anything to deep or personal… but never herself saying that she did it or making the steps to show those women that they could feel save and comfortable enough around her to be open and honest and themselves.
Kaling shared how hard and judgmental it is in the industry as a woman and than turns around and basically makes fun or belittles other women for being unsure and maybe a bit afraid in that same industry?

didn’t love that. especially since it’s unnecessary to do it. she could have just shared how she felt as if she couldn’t get what she wanted and moved on without belittling the other women for doing the same.
