Butcher & Blackbird
by Brynne Weaver
I do not have the words to articulate how much I loved this.
It was top notch ROMCOM but with a beefy dollop of dark humor.
Two serial killers falling in love? Of course, they were "good" serial killers that only hunted bad guys
I loved that the author put a trope list in the blurb and I think Golden retriever x black cat, He falls first and Touch him/her and die is going to go down into my favorites where I NEED MORE BOOKS just like it.
The One Bed tho was rather a clickbait!
There was something addictive about Rowane being a Golden Retriever and then hitting a switch where he just flips out and goes Touch Her and Die
It had moments where I laughed out loud, moments where I gasped, and moments where I was biting my knuckle. I am sad that the trilogy isn't them continueing their relationship. Serial killers and toddlers? I'd still read it.
Granted, I'll still probably read Lachlan's story either way.
