This has genuinely got to be one of the worst fucking books I have ever read. I don't think I've rated a book 0 stars before or since reading this. 

This is a book that prides itself on cramming as many surface level feminist buzzwords as it can on one page. Male characters sit around having socratic seminars about basic feminist principles. They go on a rant about how The Little Mermaid is a terrible role model for young girls because it teaches them to change themself for a man (despite the fact that Ariel actually shows interest in becoming human long before meeting Eric but what do I know?). Before every single sex scene, there is a full page of the two characters making a huge point to discuss consent, which i find VERY ironic considering half of the female love interests inner monologue is "I wanted to push him away. I shoved him and yelled NO!! in his face, but deep down, I don't really know what I want. I say no, but I want him to actually do it anyway." All of that consent talk really goes out the fucking window when the main character storms into the house he walked out on and tries making out with his wife only for her to shove him away and go on a rant about how she actually DOES want it deep down, she just won't say it. 

Also, just saying, I think it's really fucking weird to write a four year old crying and explaining in cutesy innocent child misunderstanding language that she overheard her mommy and daddy "fighting and making animal noises". It's even fucking weirder to have four year olds banging on the door trying to come into the room where their parents are having sex. Genuine fucking freak behaviour.
