A Lesson in Thorns has been on my kindle for the longest time, I am not sure why it was on there for so long or why I had waited so long to read this one here. I have been such a fan of this author and I like the she pushes the boundaries but in a way that most readers won't even notice right away but will go along for the ride. I will say despite the ending of this one, I LOVED this book so much. I am going to keep this review short because I do feel like readers need to go into this one completely blind. I was recommended to go into it blind, and I am glad that I did. From what I could tell there isn't anything super triggering, so as long as you don't get triggered easily, there isn't much that you will have to worry about in this one. I was highly impressed with this story and how it was built into. I really adored the growth of the relationship between the character, there is such a solid friendship and I enjoyed seeing the complexities come to light. If you are a fan of this author and her writing style, then I think it will be one that you will highly enjoy and I can't wait to read book 2 and get more from these characters and I have a feeling their story is just beginning.
