Ahhhh, I am SO glad that I finally decided to read this! I had heard that it was really scary and that’s what kept me from it. It’s been raved about all over with the recent final book release. I just went for it and I’m so glad I did.
I absolutely love that this is set in the 1920’s! I was all about the world, the language and the costumes. Although, there was a bit too much costume talk at times. I was all for it!
This book wasn’t quite scary but really spooky. Does that make sense? I guess, I didn’t have nightmares and I didn’t run up the stairs after turning off all the lights. haha. Honestly, I was getting many Supernatural (tv show) vibes *cue the salt!!* and I LOVED that! I think watching all those seasons helped me with the spooky factor in this. I’m so used to demons and evil spirits, all kinds. Also pro tip: always and I mean always carry salt with you.
