I hate the memory loss trope.
It allows the author to skip quite some time and explain (by telling the confused character) aaaall that's happened throughout the series so far (which we as readers don't actually need, and certainly don't want in such detail).
Anyways, it's still my pack pack pack which I love and adore and the final book is here soon to destroy me, I know it will. I can't wait.
