The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James
4.0

After an abduction attempt as a kid, Shea turned to true crime to cope. She runs a blog called The Book Of Cold Cases. When she sees Beth Greer— accused of the Lady Killer serial killings back in the late 70’s— she’s able to snag an exclusive interview to try and solve this case once and for all.

This book was the perfect read for me. It combined a lot of things I loved— true crime and ghosts. While I saw most of the twists coming, I still had fun with the journey. It’s satisfying when all the puzzle pieces fall into place.

I also really enjoyed the characters in this book. I loved the character development we saw from Shea. And I really enjoyed Beth’s character. Even though she’s the “bad guy,” you can’t help but like her. Also can we just appreciate the cat’s name… Winston Purrchill.
