I am going to try and not be evil. I will readily say I am reviewing a galley that is not complete yet. The drawings at this point in time are very lacking. I think the illustrator can pull it off, but it is not that way at this point. As for the story it is cute, but it is long. It would not be suitable for storytime. It’s excessively wordy. Too long for a picture book, but not long enough for a beginning reader. At this point, I cannot tell what is the goal of the author. I think it could be more fleshed out, with some more action and make a lovely beginning chapter book.
