The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
5.0

I really don't even know how to begin this review. This book is massive and really slow, but those have never been downsides for me. I love long books that capture you and throw you in the lives of their characters, and this is one of those books. The writing is delightful and vivid, and even if there's like 900 pages, they didn't feel as if they were dragging, even if not a lot of action happened for most of the book. I didn't particularly care for Theo, though he is a compelling main character. My favourite was Boris and his awkward earnestness, and Hobie (who was totally Welty's boyfriend, just saying).

I should probably write a proper review soon, but I loved this book with a passion and I'm looking forward to reading more of Tartt's books in the near future.
