When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.

Crooked Kingdom was close to perfect. We still follow Jesper, Kaz, Inej, Wylan, Nina and Matthias in their crazy adventures to retrieve what the world owe them. This time, they have to make the way around and inside Ketterdam and their inside enemies as the city seems to close around them. We get to know some awesome side characters and the many many side plots make everything so interesting and keep you on the edge of your chair (or whatever you read in). The reveal of the main plot at the end is simply fantastic.

The only problem that I have with this book is that there were, for me, some long moments. Chapters that were only setting things with nothing happening much or chapters that came after bigger chapters that seemed dull to me. AND THE THING THAT HAPPENED. IT STILL HURTS AND MY HEART IS NOT YET HEALED.

But seriously, that book was amazing.
