The Last House Guest
by Megan Miranda
Let’s just say Littleport, Maine does not seem like a town I ever want to visit. The characters in this story all have backgrounds that is equal to shady or snobs. The story follows a time line that goes from current to past after the Plus One Party. A party where the elites in the town got together to have a night of fun. Except that night of fun turned into Sadie dying and a massive cover up.
A local by the name of Avery was befriended by Sadie. The two had an unique friendship to say the least. Sadie had opinions about everyone, told Avery that certain people were off limit, and had a strange attraction to death. However, in the end she fought but just not hard enough and no one could hear her screams.
Reading this book made me feel like I was uncovering a mystery in a similar to Nancy Drew but much better. Thriller and Mystery
