Incredible how moving Jahren’s memoir is. There is MUCH nitty-gritty detail on plant life (I learned a lot!) but there’s also great humor and honesty, each so human and relatable I sometimes laughed through tears. She flawlessly tied major events in her life to the resilience of trees etc. and she’s such a good writer that I was just as interested in her relationships & adventures as I was in how/why few trees make it to their 2nd birthday.
