This story was really sad, raw and heartbreaking.
I think the dual narration added this extra little thing that made it compelling, and a bit more dynamic. I enjoyed that both perspectives where really different from one another, in the format they were told. It brought some dynamism to the story. However, as the plot moved on and the two paths 'crossed', it felt a bit repetitive.
I like Sadie as a character. I understood her motives, understood her. I felt for her and my heart was breaking for her.
I kind of expected way more than what I got, but I was still on my toes all the way throughout the story. The ending is frustrating of course, but also so perfect for that kind of story: it feels sadly realistic. It did felt a bit rushed though.
Sadie told a story that will definitely stay with me: it was impactful, raw and incredibly sad. I just think I hyped it up a bit too much for myself, seeing how everyone loved this book.
