Watchmen by Alan Moore
5.0

this must be the best most epic and most insightful graphic novel i've ever read, i can't believe i've waited 37 years before reading and i can't believe there are comic-books lovers who has yet to read it (as for all non comic-lovers i actually slightly pity you cause you won't have the chance to try this amazing work of art)

Now, rumbling a part, I had been put off by the art, old-school kind of, and because i thought it might be too gross for my liking, men was i wrong. There's dwelling on concept of Time (which i always cave in) there are huge moral dilemmas, there are characters so flawed and yet so amazing somehow, there's rape, love, humanity at its lowest and highest, major accidents, miracle of life, horror of deaths, comics inside comics, it's huge and i can't stop marvelling at it.

it's amazing, just amazing, plain amazing. that a human being came up with this fills me with awe, then i look at Alan Moore, and think, well, he must be otherworldy.
