Just like the other two books in the Darby U series these two take you on such an emotional journey. 

Joey has been looking over his brother and sister since he was young a s they lost their father. He has the world on his shoulders with what is expected of him. He tries to manage it all but is slowly slipping down a path he doesn't want to go, until he meets Nick. 

Nick has his own struggles but slowly they begin to become each others safe space. I loved how patient Nick was while Joey not only figured out himself and what he wanted but also his entire life. 

I loved watching these two fall in love. Though there were times that I wanted to throttle Joey but I know he had his issues that he needed to work through. I was so glad when Joey finally stood up for himself and began to put himself and what he wanted for his life first. 

I loved the future they planned for themselves 🥺 but I wish we got an extended where we saw further into their lives but I'm just greedy  🤷🏼‍♀️
