I loved the eerie atmosphere the author created. The old mansion with its numerous empty rooms, the mounted animals which seem to move of their own accord, the nightly ghostly appearances, the spiteful, mean-spirited lord ruling over the house... Though some might find this story to be slow-paced, I somehow didn’t have an issue with that. The way the story and characters developed kept my interest the whole time. I was intrigued by the mystery and wanted to find out what the hell was going on! The reveal at the end was very well done in my opinion and I couldn’t have predicted the outcome.
