Basically, my only reason that this doesn't get 5 stars is that there is some unrealistic pacing with the main character's responses to the cult itself. I was raised in one, so I've just seen it first hand enough to be like hmmmm at that. Otherwise the writing is fantastic and the way the cult itself shapes itself to appear to be a benefit to the community is really spot on. The thriller aspects don't come to light fully till the second half but it's worth it.
