It's been a while since I've given a murder mystery a try. I couldn't have picked a better one to read, because this one is riveting! Death, lying, cheating, drugs, kidnapping, this one has it all- and is skillfully crafted.

Piper was relatable and smart. Her story also hinted at a larger issue than just the central murder. Racism in her town allowed community members to believe things that aren't true. She fought that.
