This book is not bad. But it wasn't the book it told me it would be.

On my copy, the little "summary" on the back of the book said it was about a man who was writing little notes that were anti-Hitler and defying his regime. If you've read the plot summary here on Goodreads, it's a little different.

So I was disappointed when it took 1/3 of the book for Otto and Anna to start their rebellion and write that first note. AND THEN the second part is from the perspective of the Nazi officer who is trying to capture them, and about 2 petty criminals who are about the two most useless people I've ever encountered in a book. I have no idea what purpose those 2 men served in the story. The last part is also disappointing because it starts with Otto sending the last letter and GETTING CAUGHT and then it's just about him being in prison before being executed.

This is supposed to be a thriller but all the thrilling parts are not in the pages of this book, but happens between each part.
