Talking at Night
by Claire Daverley
talking at night is a beautiful character study of rosie and will’s will they won’t they relationship over the span of many years. the impact they have over each others choices and life paths. a shared trauma holds them together in a way no one else can really understand.
it’s about two people trying to figure out who they are with or without each other. missed adventures and opportunities, addiction and illness what would the other think of this? would they judge or would they help?
the studies of will and rosie are so deeply vulnerable and open in a way that sometimes hurt while reading. I felt like I lived a full life beside this book, like I too grew with them and witnessed the same tragedy they did.
