Wilder Girls by Rory Power
3.0

This book had such potential. It has a great setting- a girl's boarding school with a mysterious illness plaguing its students. However, the plot itself fell flat. This book had the potential to be a Hunger Games Style dystopia, but settled for continually setting the spooky atmosphere.

The characters were indistinguishable. I knew there were relationships that were supposed to be important, but I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I kept wanting to know more about the Tox and the history of the school. Nothing felt important. There is a bit of body gore in this book, but again, it didn't feel that important to the story. The whole book felt like a set up for the "real" story.
