Such a bittersweet ending. It was an incredibly satisfying ending to the series but I'm sad that it's over because this has become my favourite Kelley Armstrong series. That is a big feat since Bitten was the first urban fantasy novel I read and the Women of the Otherworld hold a very special place in my heart.
So I'm very sad this ended, but I think this was the right place to end it. It's such a deliberate and well-plotted series that stretching it out would probably lessen its impact.
This book revealed so many things, so many hidden agendas and secrets that really help Liv and reader fully comprehend what happened and why it happened. It's not Deus Ex Machina, it's organic to the storytelling. Kelley Armstrong crafts such a good story. I honestly don't see how anyone could find the ending lacking - unless they got caught up in the 'shipping' and didn't like the relationship that the series ended with.
Anyway, I loved it, I think you will love it and if you're a fan of urban fantasy and haven't read Kelley Armstrong? Stop sleeping on her!
