This volume starts off explosive with Edward going head to head with Scar.

See, Scar is one of those rare overpowered characters I was interested in right away because of his actions. Terrible things he does doesn't mean it is for no reason, not a the typical screaming laughing evil character but instead intriguing broken one. After the major fight things slow down and both brothers need some serious fixing up.

In comes Winry! But accompanying the brothers is Alex Louis Armstrong. A very happy go lucky character built like a tank. We also get to see a lot more of the evil characters this time around.

Overall a really solid volume that does slow down and hurt it a bit in the middle but by the end you're right back in it.
