Brutal Prince
by Sophie Lark
*Warning: Spoilers Ahead*
Brutal Prince is a story that I read based on the recommendations from "The Book Refuge" and I saw many focus on reading this one during the Mafia Read A Thon that happened this past month. I will say that this book was ridiculous at times, and I almost DNF'd it, to be honest. I think it was the focus of the family and the way the hero is that kept me engaged in the story. I really REALLY struggled with this heroine, she was quite frankly spoiled and a brat. Her family has apparently let her get away with whatever she wants but the way she treats the hero is NOT OKAY in my opinion. I mean poisoning him on their wedding day?! Is that supposed to be justified just because you don't like the situation and don't want to be accountable for your choices? I just couldn't get behind her for most of the book and its only thanks to the page turner, engaging style of writing that kept me with this story. But while this one was most disappointing (the second book wasn't)
