This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I would say go into this one blind. I read the synopsis after I read the book and it gives too much away. I love how the author sets the setting and really enjoyed her writing. At first, I was like oh, too many characters, but then you get to know who’s who. This book has a bit of everything and took me by surprise. I loved Emery the MC. This story is told by several POV’s with before and now. It has all my favorite things in a book and gave me all the feels
