Ignited
by Becca Steele
"You're my sunshine. You light up my life in ways I could never have imagined. I love you with everything I have."
This book was everything and more.
This is the grumpy-sunshine, literally, book I have been wanting.
JJ & Killian are so cute, separately and together. JJ is the complete opposite of Killian. Warm and inviting to Cold and closed off.
These two changed what a teacher/professor, grumpy-sunshine trope book is for me. Add in that touch of forbiddenness and it is -chefs kiss-
JJ never did more than once and Killian hasn't done anything in a really long time. When JJ ends up on the other end of Killian's sight it is a journey to what neither of them expects.
Although there is a light bit of humor throughout it is mainly focused on the relationship aspect between JJ and Killian and I love that. Each has their own parts in their story and it was laid out just right. No rush and nothing left out.
Of course there was that spice, quite good spice in fact.
Rushed quickies in the change room..
Kitchen counters..
Couches..
Offices.. shh can't talk about this one!
And of course we cannot forget about JJ's little talent he lets slip (hehe good one Becca)
Can't keep lips, tongues and hands or hell their bodies period from each other.
Praise.. oh yeah, we get that too.
This was a good balance of "I want you but.." type of vibe to "I don't care, you're more important." and it just worked. Killian's backstory was hard to swallow but also it gave the insight into why he is the way that he is on the outside to everyone else. The opening we needed for him to find his found family in JJ and G.
Truly a great story between the growly lecturer and the carefree dancer who captures him in all the ways and who gets captured back.
We also get to see everyone else from the previous books so that is an added bonus.
Who would've thought the grumpy business lecturer would ever be turned soft..
