This is the perfect atmospheric book to read while stuck inside during a snowstorm. My Alaskan Malamute, Luna, agrees!
Theodora Scott is recently engaged to Connor Dalton, who is part of a wealthy and influential family. He takes her to his family’s Christmas home, a 100-acre property on a mountain in Upstate New York, to impress his grandmother and meet the rest of the family. Unbeknownst to Theo, she has been here before and the Dalton family will do anything to keep their secrets hidden.
Theo, also, has secrets of her own she’s been keeping from Connor— her name isn’t really Theo and her adoptive parents aren’t really dead, but Theo worries if Connor finds out the truth, he might leave her forever.
The secrets and mysteries pile up as Theo starts learning more about the Dalton family and recovering long ago blocked out memories from her childhood.
This book is definitely a thrill ride with twists I never saw coming and I highly recommend giving this book a read!
