I can't give this less than 3 stars even with my huge dislike of Zuri and her closed mindedness. It was well written and both the physical and audio books evoke such an accurate and sensual scene of modern day Brooklyn, especially Bushwick and the city culture of many Caribbeans. Plus, the family and relationships were cute and funny. Its just that everything in me rebels against Zuri's mindset even though its accurate as I've seen too many times in real life.
