anastasiaf 's review for:
Turtles All the Way Down
by John Green
Finished in the train journey from London to Edinburgh, still reading super quickly so I might need to process and reevaluate my true score. (Review is also stream of consciousness)
Liked: great, emotional, good at discussing pervasive and intrusive thoughts and the affect that has on a person, interesting in that the arc was of personal development and not a treasure hunt
Disliked: yet again, the main character is a damaged female who isn’t glorifying her damage but in a way through the book she is damaged
Liked: a romantic relationship wasn’t the solution, money was a focus but wasn’t, interesting questions about identity, realistic resolution that still fulfills
Thoughts after reading other reviews: actually thought the philosophical musings here were more believable for their age than in TFIOS
