3.5 Of all books I've read recently this one was genuinely scary because having a child that lacks empathy is a very real fear of mine. While it was scary, it was infuriating that Alex and Suzette couldn't get on the same page until over half way through the book. Overall, I liked how wild of a ride it was but, I wish the ending was more definite, as I am still fearful for the characters even though the book is over and I hate when that happens, even when the ending is objectively good and well written. Overall, while it was a good read I would have enjoyed it more if definite details came about such as a diagnosis or a true ending to all of it. I know that's the point sometimes but man it leaves things too vague for me to really enjoy it.
