They Wish They Were Us follows Jill in Long Island. Her best friend Shaila is murdered freshman year. Her boyfriend Graham in suspected of murdering her. Three years later, Jill receives a text from Rachel, Graham’s sister saying she thinks someone else murdered Shaila. Jill decides she will help Rachel solve the mystery. She is balancing her life being a Player and getting into college too.
I felt like this book was interesting. I liked the flashbacks and seeing Jill as a student I did find some parts to be boring. I easily predicted who was the killer and thought the ending was very anticlimactic.
