The Whisper Man by Alex North
3.0

I know this may be a very unpopular opinion but The Whisper Man did not live up to the hype for me. I always love a good thriller and The Whisper Man definitely had some unique aspects that give it the chill factor. I may be one of the last people to read this book but The Whisper Man is not only thriller but a generational tale that tells the story of Tom Kennedy and his son after moving to a new town to escape their past. Once they arrive there, Tom’s son, Jake, begins to hear the whispers the others have warned him of. The Whisper Man is told from multiple points of views and through that you uncover the past of the town and what the future holds. I enjoyed reading The Whisper Man but found it to drag in some parts which made it hard for me to stay interested. I definitely liked the multilayered story which made it difficult to predict.
