challenging dark emotional informative reflective sad tense slow-paced

Wow. This book took me a month and a half to read, and for good reason. It is dense and heavy and full of valuable information. If you can't get yourself to read the entire thing, I definitely at least recommend reading the first section, about guns, and really recommend trying to get through the second section, about health care. Though I was already aware of a lot of this conceptually, and hold similar beliefs, it was still incredibly helpful to be aware of this book as a reference point and to actually see those facts and statistics. This book is invaluable in a time like this, where we are seeing more and more people die of whiteness. Thank you for writing this, Metzl!
