I won this book in a contest hosted by @skyponypress!

Flower Moon is a middle grade novel about sisterhood, a family carnival and magic. I loved it. The relationship portrayed between twin sisters Tally Jo and Tempest felt very organic and natural - including their friction as they grew apart. The setting was beautifully described too - I could picture it really well.

The plot focused on a supernatural (yet scientific) phenomena between the twins - it was unique, and I think it would have a lot of mileage if this became a series. The climax of the story was a bit understated though - I thought a scene on the beach between the twins earlier in the book had a much larger impact.

Although this is clearly a middle grade book, it's written in such a way that I think those who read Young Adult will also really enjoy it.
