The Midnight Man
by Caroline Mitchell
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book but I loved it. It’s the kind of thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat and reading well into the night. I’m not normally a horror girl but I love Caroline Mitchell so thought I’d give it a go. The supernatural elements work so well and amp up the creepiness. We all love an urban legend, which makes it 10x scarier when it turns out to be true. There were so many twists and turns which had me hooked. I loved Sarah’s character and her history really adds to the drama. Does she remember that fateful night correctly or did something else happened? Can she really trust the old memories of a traumatised child? I also adored little Elliot and I think he might be my favourite and his chapters gave me goosebumps. I’m really looking forward to more from this series. I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
