Such a classic Cora Rose book. Light, funny, and really just enjoyable to read all around. No angst, but a sweet romance with tons of laughs. 

Chase gets a job at Black Diamond after leaving South Dakota in order to find himself. The story is mostly from his POV and he's just silly and fun. Chase meets Holden, a bartender at the resort, and realizes that there's a lot of himself he had yet to discover. They have a fun little push and pull, surrounded by island shenanigans, and ends with a sweet little happily ever after. Chase is such a sweetheart, and once Holden lets him in they are just a cute fluffy couple. 

I'm pretty sure this was just written for pure, fun entertainment. It's not serious at all. Bob and the flip flops made me laugh out loud, just silly stuff. A good read if you're looking for something really quick, light, and funny.
